5 years on and I've done it. My final recital at the Royal Academy is done. It's been an incredibly long journey of enormous highs as well as lows-so many wonderful moments, but some really tough times too. And there have been so many times of ill health when it really seemed like it could never happen. It felt like the longest 45 minutes of my life physically but if there's one thing that RAM has taught me it is that anything worth doing is worth fighting for, and that no one can dictate your own limitations other than yourself. Perhaps most importantly though I have learnt that it takes a huge amount of courage to know when to say that enough is enough. I'm thrilled with yesterday's achievement regardless of outcome, and special thanks go to the wonderful pianist, and someone I am lucky enough to call a friend, Daniel King Smith-there is no-one I would have rather had at my side! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way...here's to all of us making our way into this crazy uncertain world and here's to the future-whatever it may hold! Now to get some sleep...
